If you've made it to this page on my blog, my guess is you are wanting to learn more how God uses dreams to speak to us. One of the key ways God has nurtured my spiritual gift to understanding dreams is from the discipline of journaling. I value what God is trying to convey in the night and the best way for me to keep track of them is by recording them in my dream journal.
For me, what works best is to write (or type) them down, name, and pray over them. Over time God provides insight and revelation to their meaning. I do not want to miss how God is speaking to me in the night. The smallest details in dreams are often the most crucial, therefore, journaling helps me capture not only scenes, but colors, emotions, directions, and more.
There will be mornings you wake up with a vivid dream and the message won't be clear. It takes time in prayer for God to reveal meaning and for me, journaling helps me to not dismiss them as happenstance or indigestion from the night before.
Check back to read more of my journal journey and see what kick started my love to journal. You will see how journaling helps to reflect and pray until the meaning and interpretation comes to light. Journaling has many advantages and recording dreams is just one of them.
Journaling posts (see Joys of Journaling category) may provide some additional tips and tools that you can use to increase your love to journal and help to increase your knowledge and understanding of your God-dreams in the night.
