The Rain of Heaven
April showers have brought May flowers.” Friends, no matter the storms that come your way, the sun still shines. An overflow of God’s presence in your life is where you’ll experience His continual flow of joy, peace, calm, love, and confidence.
The rain of heaven brings fresh flowers and the rain of the presence of the Holy Spirit gives us a fresh outlook to see things from God’s perspective. When the “water” of the Holy Spirit is reduced to a little here and a little there, it reduces His presence in our lives and even His voice. We are more prone to fret and worry.
Take time to enjoy the fresh air of spring, but with the perspective that what you see and feel is the rain of God’s glory. Let the sunbeams from heaven penetrate your soul and senses today. It’s where you will be renewed and refreshed. “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” Psalm 34:8
Though the storms and clouds of life hover, enjoy the brilliance and grandeur of God’s presence. We can experience joy. Step into the overflow of the goodness of God.
Start your day by praising God for His beauty that is all around you.
We must grow, we must blossom, and we must produce for the kingdom of God. May we strive to be a reflection of the Son. God’s “love is a many splendored thing.”
“He pulls water up out of the sea, distills it, and fills up his rain-cloud cisterns.
Then the skies open up and pour out soaking showers on everyone.
Does anyone have the slightest idea how this happens? How he arranges the clouds, how he speaks in thunder? Just look at that lightning, his sky-filling light show illumining the dark depths of the sea! These are the symbols of his sovereignty, his generosity, his loving care. He hurls arrows of light, taking sure and accurate aim. The High God roars in the thunder, angry against evil.” Job 36:27-33
How are you living in the overflow of the river of God?
Father God, I thank you that you are with me when the sun shines and when the storms of life are raging. I thank you for the light in the darkness, which is you. Thank you for the promise that there are rainbows after the storms. You arrange the clouds, you speak to the thunder, and the stars are held in place by your hand. I ask you to help me to put order to my day. Let me hear you in the noise that is around me. Refresh my soul. I want my eyes to be opened to see your glory and splendor all around me. I want to bask in your presence, Lord. Amen
You don’t have to wait for the storm to end to see light and hope. God is in everything and when we look around, He is there.
