Super Powers Dream
When Angel had this dream, her father was preaching a series on how to fight against demonic spirits. His teaching was on how to live a life with an attitude filled with a garment of praise instead of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3). The spirit of heaviness can be doubt, fear, discouragement, sickness, or infirmities.
Angel Mercy/India:
In the days that followed my father’s message on oppressing spirits, the battle against my father began raging and it didn’t let up. It was the night before this dream when my father had a health scare. He experienced unconsciousness and we were afraid he was having a heart attack.
Jordan and I spent the evening praying together and God revealed this was an attack from the enemy. We began to fight the spirit of heaviness with the Word of God as our weapon and through praise and worship.
At the time of his health scare, I didn’t remember this dream. It wasn’t until later in the day while I was doing my devotions and spending time with God that the Holy Spirit brought to memory this dream. I saw a picture flash in front of me as if it were a vision, confirming what I saw in the night. It was like a movie trailer being replayed; a picture how to pray strategically for my parents. God was using this dream to build my faith and believe the attacks of the enemy were being demolished. I love the Lord!
On March 3, 2018 I dreamt what I call the Super Powers Dream. Before we even go to the dream I want to write down the background of what happened the night before.
Teresa has been teaching me how God uses the events in our daily lives to speak a word of wisdom in the night. It was the same when I had this dream. My husband and I tend to watch something when we have dinner together. The night before this dream we were watching the English series “The Flash.” It’s a series about one young man who can move at superhuman speeds and a team of good meta-humans working together against bad meta-humans.
In one episode, the super powers of the bad meta-humans could read minds and some radiated a kind of energy that lit up when they used their powers.
In order for humans to prevent their minds from being read, they would trick the meta-humans by thinking of something else. i.e., They may focus on a pink elephant or hum a favorite song. This would shield their real thoughts from the meta-humans trying to destroy them.
Super Powers Dream:
In my dream, I was with four to five people. We had super powers and worked as team to help people and to bring down the enemy. I faintly remember my dad and another friend who has a large physique of someone we know. Prior to this dream, he is an individual who entered our lives whom we feel took advantage of Jordan and me.
A couple of people on my team were resting, including myself, but I was the only one that wasn’t sleeping. The guy who took advantage of us was beside me sleeping in his place. I noticed a man sitting on the stairs who wanted to join us. His face lit up and that is when I noticed he had the ability to hear our thoughts and read our minds simultaneously. I discerned he didn’t have good intentions. Immediately, I started humming in my mind “I Love You Jesus.”
Quietly, I tried to convey to my team to do the same: “In your mind, hum ‘I Love You Jesus’ and ‘Do it Again’ songs by Elevation Worship.” “It’s working,” I conveyed to them.
I wrote notes on small sheets of paper and passed them out to my team while continuing to hum the songs that came to mind. I instructed them to keep humming because the strategy against the enemy was working. End of dream.
Interpretation:
Meta-humans: They represent spiritual warfare and Satan’s malicious plans to destroy us. Good vs. evil. God’s plans to save us vs. Satan’s schemes to destroy us.
Team is the Church, the body of Christ: With the power of the Holy Spirit (super powers), God’s people are to work together, in unity and holiness for the Lord.
We don’t have to be physically in one place to intercede as one in Christ Jesus. Angel has friends in Germany and America who are interceding for her father and his ministry.
Mind readers: Satan’s attacks usually begin in the mind. He wants you to think like him. i.e., worry, doubt, fear, discouragement, disappointment, infirmity come from the enemy. Angel’s dream is an analogy how to combat Satan’s attempts to implant negative thoughts in your mind:
Humming: She fought the enemy by fixing her thoughts on things that are true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” (Philippians 4:8). Don’t let the enemy have power over your thoughts. Use the Word of God (think of a pink elephant = verse) and sings worship songs (hum like a bird).
· Worship: I began to sing two prophetic songs. “Knowing the battles won, you’ve never failed me yet.” (“I Love you Jesus,” and “Do it Again). Music with words helps to bring Jesus into the situation and was the gateway to victory over the attacks that were happening to her father. Psalm 21:13 says that God will “Rise up, O Lord, in all your power. With music and singing we celebrate your mighty acts.”
“The words of the song I was singing is that God was bringing the walls down. He did it once and was doing it again. The devil is already defeated and “the one who rules in heaven laughs. The Lord scoffs at them.” Psalm 2:4
Sheets of paper represent scripture: The sheets of paper I was distributing symbolize the Word of God as our weapon. God has led me to pray and speak the word and his promises. “Don’t be ignorant of the enemies’ devices. Fight the devil wearing the full armor of God and resist him.” I Peter 5:8. Also, 2 Corinthians 2:11; Ephesians 6:10-18; and James 4:7.
Awake and Fearless: Be alert (I Peter 5:8). I wasn’t asleep and saw the presence of the enemy (man on the stairs). I knew the man wasn’t good and this represents God is leading me to a higher level of discernment in the spirit). The faith and confidence I had in the dream instilled in me my prayers lead to victory in Jesus. Always!
Masked meta-human (Satan disguises himself): We must walk in the spirit to know what kind of attack we are experiencing. Ephesians 6:11 is one verse that sheds truth to know we are fighting against a variety of spirits. “For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places (meta-humans who were trying to harm us).
Powerful Spiritual Forces
In the following days when the Lord reminded me of this dream I was praying Psalm 58:6 (“Break off their fangs, O God! Smash the jaws of these lions, O Lord!) and Psalm 3:7 (“Arise, O Lord! Rescue me, my God! Slap all my enemies in the face! Shatter the teeth of the wicked!”) The enemy is toothless and any trap he lays before me is broken. This may not mean much to others, but I knew these verses was God’s promise to me that the enemy had no hold over my father’s health and well-being.
Through the prayers of her family and church family, Angel’s father was healed and healthy within 24 hours.
New Revelation: It wasn’t for several weeks after this revelation when the Lord revealed more of this dream. The Lord showed me that I must forgive the individual who we feel took advantage of Jordan and me. I was carrying around my frustration and hurt. I wasn’t praying for him or forgiving him. Through this dream, the Lord revealed my need to forgive him. Working as one in the body of Christ includes helping those who harm us.
One additional insight I provided Angel in regard to the gentlemen who did wrong to them is that he was with her father in the dream. This could represent when one person in the body of Christ harms one, they harm all. As believers, we are all called to build up the body of Christ and do nothing to cause our brothers to stumble. We are called by God to encourage, build up, and forgive one another. Romans 14:13-23; I Thessalonians 5:11; Hebrews 10:23-25
