Wedding Dream

WEDDING DREAM:

I saw myself standing at an altar about to get married. I saw the groom, but couldn’t see his face. We were holding hands and I saw my wedding gown. It was made of lace and it was tiered from the bodice all the way to the ground. There was no train and I didn’t have a veil on. I don’t know if it was strapless, spaghetti straps, or if it had capped sleeves. It was white as snow. Thousands of people were present. I only recognized two out of the thousands of guests.

The next scene was at the reception and everyone was dancing in circles. There were rectangle tables that were miles and miles long. There was a feast with all kinds of food, although I do not know what. The walls were golden in color with gold candle holders and white candles that were lit. There was gold cloth-like tulle that was hanging from the ceiling to the floor.

I didn’t have normal high heels on. Everyone was wearing bronze sandals that laced up the leg. None of the women had heels, every sandal was flat; just like they wore back during the time Jesus was on earth. Everyone was dancing in large circles holding hands and dancing back and forth. Everyone was smiling and overjoyed. I saw my daughter, Summer Rose, and her adopted mom. Summer had on a yellow dress that looked pale in color. I do not know what the adoptive mother was wearing for I did not pay attention. At the end of the dream, I said, “I’m Jewish now.”

End of dream.

This dream beautifully captures the promise that awaits all of those who believe in the name of Jesus Christ.  Candi had this dream a year after she was saved in 2009 and it is a picture of Christ coming to take his bride. It is a glorious scene of Revelation 19:6-9:

Then I heard again what sounded like the shout of a vast crowd or the roar of mighty ocean waves or the crash of loud thunder:

“Praise the Lord!

For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.

Let us be glad and rejoice,

and let us give honor to him.

For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb,

and his bride has prepared herself.

She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear.”

For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God’s holy people.

And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.” And he added, “These are true words that come from God.”

“Then one of the seven angels who held the seven bowls containing the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come with me! I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” Revelation 21:9

  • Marriage: A scene of the marriage of the Lamb in the last days. Jesus will come to take his bride. “It is the bridegroom who marries the bride, and the bridegroom’s friend is simply glad to stand with him and hear his vows. Therefore, I am filled with joy at his success.” John 3:29

  • A white gown and fine lines: “And his bride has prepared herself. She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear.”  For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God’s holy people.” Revelation 19:7-8

    • This is a personal and remarkable message for Candi. After following Christ in 2009, like many, she struggled in her faith in the first year. God’s grace is endless and this dream is a glorious scene that she is his, he will never leave her, and he is pleased with her.

  • No veil: The veil of the believer is lifted when we invite Christ into our hearts. “But the moment one turns to the Lord with an open heart, the veil is lifted and they see.” 2 Corinthians 3:16

    • When Christ comes to take the Church, our eyes will be opened and we will see all. “Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity.[a] All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.” I Corinthians 3:12

  • Two guests: I believe the two guests are the Father and Holy Spirit, with the groom being Christ.

  • The feast: The marriage supper of the Lamb. Revelation 19:6-9

    • “Hearing this, a man sitting at the table with Jesus exclaimed, “What a blessing it will be to attend a banquet in the Kingdom of God!” Luke 14:15

  • “I’m Jewish now:” What a marvelous ending! She is one with Christ and Christ alone. “For I am jealous for you with the jealousy of God himself. I promised you as a pure bride to one husband—Christ.” 2 Corinthians 11:2

    • Candi accepted the invitation from Jesus. She is one with him, part of the family of God, and has a home prepared for her in heaven. “There is more than enough room in my Father’s home.[a] If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?” John 14:2

I pray you were encouraged and filled with hope in the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ as you read this dream. Do not fear at the thought of what lies ahead in the book of Revelation. If you know Jesus as your Savior, he is coming for his bride; for you.

  • “Coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.” He will dwell among us forever. “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them.” No more sorrow, death, tears, or pain. Revelation 21:2-5

Then one of the seven angels who held the seven bowls containing the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come with me! I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” Revelation 21:9
