Proverbs 29
It is April 29, 2021. After finishing my devotions in II Kings today I felt in my spirit to read Psalm 29 and Proverbs 29. There are 31 chapters in Proverbs and periodically I will read a Proverb correlating to the day of the month, such was the case today. I did the same with Psalm.
I was quite astounded by how specifically it speaks to leadership, given last night was President Joe Biden’s first address to congress.
What makes a good leader?
What happens when fools are listened to and honored?
Don’t penalize people for walking with integrity.
Recognize those who work hard and reward them accordingly.
A wicked ruler is dangerous.
Pray For Your Leaders in every area of government, at your work, and in your church. I thank God for guiding me to Proverbs 29 today. “A leader of good judgment gives stability; an exploiting leader leaves a trail of waste…The fear of human opinion disables; trusting in God protects you from that.” Proverbs 29:4, 25 MSG
Read Psalm 29, which reveals God’s great strength and power. You can put your trust in God! He gives his people strength and peace in the midst of the storm.
Proverbs 29 is as follows:
